Obedience ( Trained Retrieve )
Before starting this program, a dog must possess all of the skills taught in our trained retrieve program.
As of October 2026 we will no longer be raising or using ducks for our field training, moving forward we will no longer be offering field training for waterfowl hunting. Our field training will be focusing on upland game hunting. Pheasant, Chuckar, Quail and Pigeons.
Whether it be hunting pheasant in a field or grouse in the woods, it is definitely a true pleasure to watch a well trained dog work. Our fulltime job is training and the joy of being able to send home a well trained hunting dog is our mission.
Skills taught in this program: ( 4 week program )
Introduction to multiple fields and live birds. ( Pheasant, Chuckar, Quail and Pigeons )
Learn to hunt close, range 20-30 yards in medium to heavy cover.
Whistle control and quartering.
Retrievers will also work on their retrieving skills, on land and water.
Pointing breeds will also work on their pointing skills, while encouraging a natural retrieve on land and water.
Total cost: $1,250.00

This program's main focus is on having complete control of your dog off leash and having an obedient reliable retrieve. Having an obedient reliable retrieve is a critical component of ethical hunting practice, it ensures that the birds are retrieved quickly and furthermore preventing the loss of any birds. To ensure your dog retrieves birds back to hand all intact, and to ensure your dog doesn't chew, rip or play with birds, your dog will also be force fetched on dead birds.
Skills taught in this program: ( 8 week program )
Obedience. On and off leash control. ( come, heel, sit/stay and place )
Force Fetch this training will turn your retriever's natural retrieve into an obedient command/retrieve. ( No playing, mouthing or ripping apart birds )
Pointing breeds will not be force fetched, we will work on developing a natural point, while encouraging a natural retrieve.
Introduction to the shotgun. ( 12 gauge )

Please Note:
Dog's must be 7 months old or older.
Dog's must be up to date on the following shots ( Rabies, Distemper combo ( DHLP-P ) and Bordetella
Dogs must be cleared of all intestinal parasites before coming in for training.
Dogs must be on flea, tick and worm preventitive. Owners supply their own preventitive.
Owners supply their own dog food.
Dogs must be groomed and nails trimmed before coming in for training.
All dogs will be individually trained 7 days a week including Holidays.
To ensure every dog gets more training time, exercise and care, we only allow 10 dogs into the facility.
To ensure a stress-free facility, dogs with behavioral issues that cause stress for other dogs will not be allowed in the facility.
Owners are encouraged to visit their dog weekly to check on their dog's progress and to work with them.
